Latest painting, using both wet on wet for the Ocean Floor and wet on dry for the Starfish. Really enjoying mixing methods and building complementary colors.

New creations are blooming with a lot of great inspiration from every day moments, childhood + travel. I am so grateful to be getting back to creating every single day. Over the next few months you will start to see more products popping up in the Etsy Shop + on Society 6. There might even be a couple of pop up shops as well.
If there are any specific icons or objects that you would like to see, please don't hesitate to click the contact tab on sageandgracedesigns.com + send us a message! Have a beautiful day! Our son has been having a little trouble focusing lately so we decided to change his diet to help a little. Let me take a step back and give a little background… He is 7, a straight A student, creative, loving and energetic.
He loves to read, loves Pokémon (although we don’t let him play video games) and he has a very compassionate + nurturing side for animals and babies. We’ve noticed a little disconnect lately. When given a task like sweeping and helping clean, reading or playing Legos for a little bit, he stays focused and calm. But when you ask simple questions or give more than one direction at a time, he gives a blank expression. We talked with his teachers and they all said he’s at the top of his class, but they noticed a little disconnect also. So at this point we don’t know what is going on. Could be ADD, or something else. In the meantime, we are taking natural measures like we would if it was ADD or ADHD. We are not big into medicine unless absolutely necessary. We would prefer Essential Oils and Nutrition first. Last night we made the kids Lighted Breaded Fish sticks with white fish. (Hoping to try Gilda’s Wild Salmon Fish stock recipe soon) Along with Fish we served mixed vegetables, organic apple sauce and Almond Milk. Apparently Cows milk can trigger ADD & ADHD symptoms so we are avoiding all “trigger foods” and instead choosing foods rich in Protein, Vitamin B-6, Omega 3, and as much Additive Free + Unprocessed Foods as possible. This morning we noticed a little bit of a difference, he was calmer than yesterday and seemed more focused when we talked to him. Breakfast included Plain Oatmeal (no sugar) Strawberries, Kiwi + Blueberries topped of with a light drizzle of honey. For lunch I packed the following items: – Almond Butter + All Natural Jelly on Whole Wheat Bread (only a half of a sandwich) – Banana – Strawberries – Sunflower seeds – Multigrain seeded flat bread, hummus + a cheese stick – Water (instead of a Roaring Water) Fingers crossed that we get a great report from school and still see a difference when he gets home later. Right before he got on the bus I also used our homemade “Focus” rollerball blend containing the following essential oils: – Vetiver – Cedarwood – Lavender (We found YoungLiving Oils here + DoTerra Oils here) I am so grateful that we live in a world that has so many resources to learn how to help our children in many ways possible. It might come down to Medicine, but we’re hopeful that this new change will not only help our son, but all of us! We all need to cut processed foods out of our daily intake. It so easy to buy convenient, but with a little research + planning anything is possible! |
